We are arriving at Ercan Airport and are in Cyprus for 10 nights. Really keen to do a self drive in North and South of Cyprus and would like to rent our own simple car. Thinking routing of Nicosia - Girne -Karpaz Peninsula- Famagustathen to South regions of Troodos - Polis - Pafos- Limasol- Nicosia. We would prefer to hire one car for both areas... Is this possible? Should you Cross the Border all insurances lose their validity. You may see stories on the Internet where people buy temporary insurance at the border. These are also not valid.
