driving licence for a rental car

Question

Hi
I hope you are well.

I have a question about a UK licence when hiring a car with you. I see on your Terms and conditions page you state that the driver must have held a full licence for at least a year. I have had mine less than a year. Is there an extra surcharge I can pay to cover this and still hire with you?
I look forward to hearing from you.

Answer

No, it is a very exact rule.

Answer

You need to have at least 1 year exactly. No rental car company can hire you a car if you licence is less than a year old. It is an insurance stipulation.
