The car rental fee is charged on your card at the end of the online booking process. The security deposit is held on your credit card at the desk when collecting the car and for the length of the rental period.

So, I select a rental from your list, you debit my card with an amount that I don't know until I complete the purchase, and then you refund (less the rental fee) at the end of the rental?

No. The amount that is debited at the end of the online booking process is the rental car rate only. The confirmation voucher is then emailed to you. Please print it and take it with you to your destination. Once you are at the supplier's desk to collect the vehicle, they will hold on your credit card the security deposit amount that is specified on your rental voucher. This held amount will be released at the end of the rental period.
