Useful Information

Renter

The minimum age of the renter or any additional driver is 21 years, with this exception - U.S. government renters on official business, the minimum age to rent is 18. All renters must present a valid driver's license and major credit card in his or her own name. This must be the same credit card that was used to book or pay for the reservation. An underage fee will be applied to individuals between the ages of 21 and 24, up to a maximum of $29.99 USD per day. For domestic and international renters, we require two government-issued valid photo ids, two phone numbers, and a valid email address.

Payments

Cash, prepaid credit cards, debit cards with or without a master card or visa logo are not accepted for rental qualification. Routes locations do not accept payments in cash or by check. A confirmation does not mean you can use your debit card for rental. Most locations accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover credit cards. To find out if the credit card you wish to use at the time of rental is accepted at the location you will be renting from, please call the respective location. The renter must present a valid credit card in his or her own name at the time of the rental. A minimum deposit of between $500 USD to $2,000 USD, or the estimated total of the rental plus 30 percent - whichever is greater - must be available on the credit card in order to rent the vehicle. All rental fees, taxes, and charges associated with the rental are due at the time of pick-up.

Drivers

All drivers and additional drivers must have a valid driver's license in their own name. No learner permits or photocopies of driving licenses are accepted. You must have an original driver's license while renting a vehicle. Drivers must be at least 21 years of age and present a valid photo driver's license from the state or country in which they reside at the time of rental. Non-U.S. citizens who present a foreign driver’s license at the time of the rental will be required to present their passport as a second form of identification. If the national driver’s license is printed in non-roman alphabet (Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc.), it must be complemented by an international driving permit (IDP). Driver's licenses that are in English are only accepted from the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the European Union. National driver's licenses from the European Union that are not in English, as well as countries outside the European Union, must be accompanied by an international driver’s permit. International driving permits are only valid outside the country of origin when presented with the original national driver’s license. National driver's licenses must be valid at least 6 months out from the date of rental in order to be used to rent the vehicle. Additional drivers must meet the same qualifications as the primary driver. The additional driver and underage driver fees (21-24 yrs. old) will be applied per day. All fees are taxable. For international renters, we need a valid email address and two valid phone numbers. No learner permits or photocopies of driver's licenses are accepted. You must have an original driver's license when renting a vehicle. Additional drivers must meet all requirements of the primary driver, and fees will be applied up to $29.99 USD per day (the amount depends on the location). Any changes to the rental agreement must be made and signed for at the rental counter.
