Young driver's age: 21 to 24 years. Charge 26.14 EUR per day. Maximum 239.8 EUR. Includes 19% tax

Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to hire a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.

Travel Restrictions

Cross border:

Should the vehicle be driven outside Germany, a Cross Border Fee of €41.6 (including tax) will apply.

Please note a penalty charge of € 600.00 may apply, should you omit to declare you will be driving the vehicle out of Germany.

Hertz vehicles cannot be driven into and/or dropped off in any African, American, Asian, or Middle Eastern country, nor in Albania, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, New Zealand, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, United Kingdom.

Hertz vehicles cannot be driven into and/or dropped off in any African, American, Asian, or Middle Eastern country, nor in Albania, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, New Zealand, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Kingdom and Uzbekistan.

You cannot drive, park or deliver a vehicle hired in Germany in the UK. If we have reason to believe that you have brought our vehicle into the UK without being entitled to do so, this will be a breach of our Rental Terms and Conditions and all insurances (Third Party, CDW, TP, Super Cover, PI), if taken out, will be invalidated. The driver would be fully responsible for any damage to or loss of the vehicle and would have to pay all consequences themselves, including the cost of repatriating the damaged vehicle. You will be charged £1,980/€2,317 as liquidated damages to cover the costs incurred in repatriating the vehicle. With respect to the above liquidated damages amount, you are at liberty to prove that no damage has been incurred or that the damage is substantially less than the liquidated damages amount.

Vehicles may be driven to Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia, but may only be dropped off in the following cities: Prague, Budapest, Poznan, Szczecin, Warsaw, Bratislava, Ljubliana.

Exceptions: All Mercedes and BMW models, convertibles, SUVs, trucks and cargo vans, as well as all Hertz Prestige Collection and Fun Collection vehicles cannot be driven into or dropped off in Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.

All Mercedes and BMW models, Convertibles and SUVs, as well as all Hertz Prestige Collection and Fun Collection vehicles cannot be driven into or dropped off in Italy.

All HPC vehicles except (A6) Jaguar XF Aut. - GPS, (N6) Range Rover Evoque - GPS, (S6) Range Rover Sport – GPS, (T6) Mercedes-Benz V-Class Aut. 8S 4WD - GPS and (V6) Mercedes Benz CLS Shooting Break Aut. – GPS cannot be driven outside Germany.

Should these restrictions be ignored, all insurance (Third Party Liability, CDW, TP, Super Cover, PI), if accepted, shall be deemed null and void. The driver will be held fully responsible in case of damage to or loss of the vehicle and will bear all consequences, including the cost of repatriation of the damaged vehicle.

Licence:

Driver's licences issued by the People's Republic of China/ Japan/ Korea may be accepted provided you present an official Hertz Certification form. Hertz China/ Japan/ Korea will issue this form on Hertz notepaper and will incorporate the Hertz China/ Japan/ Korea Corporate seal. A scanned copy of the original licence will appear on the Certification form. The Certification form is valid until the expiry date of the Driver's Licence. Both the Certification and the original licence (with an International Driving Permit strongly recommended by Police authorities in Europe) MUST be produced at the time of rental.

If you hold a Driver's Licence issued in Vietnam, you need to present the original licence together with an authorised translation issued by the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport. If both documents are presented at time of rental these licences are acceptable worldwide

Cancellation and no-show policy

What is your cancellation policy for fully prepaid or part-paid bookings?

1 - If you cancel 48 hours prior to your pick-up, you will be refunded in full.

2 - If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance of pick-up, you will receive a refund minus GBP84. If your online payment is less than GBP84, no refund will be made for your car hire booking.

3 - If your booking is made less than 48 hours before pick up, the cancellation policy will automatically apply to your booking.

4 - All cancellations should be made online via the Manage Booking page prior to the scheduled pick-up time and not with the car rental provider.

5 - You can make any changes to your booking up to 48 hours before pick-up, with no additional charge, however, live pricing will apply. If you amend your booking less than 48 hours in advance of pick-up, the amount you currently paid will be carried over to your new booking minus a late amendment fee of GBP44.00. If you have paid less than GBP44.00, no amount will be carried over to your new booking.

6 - If you cancel your booking less than 48 hours before pick-up you will be charged a cancellation fee of GBP84. If you have paid less than GBP84, you will not be charged more than you currently paid.

If you purchased our Damage Refund Insurance product and have since decided to cancel your car rental booking, the Damage Refund Insurance will be cancelled automatically.

If you wish to amend or rearrange your booking, the Damage Refund Insurance will initially be cancelled. We will, however, automatically create a new policy for your new booking.

In both cases you will receive an email to confirm the cancellation at the email address you have provided during the online booking process.

Please be aware that if you cancel your insurance policy less than 24 hours before the start of your car hire agreement, no refund for insurance will be granted.

What is a no-show?

A 'no-show' occurs for the following reasons:

1 - You didn't inform us about your cancellation prior to your pick-up time.

2 - You failed to pick up the car at the arranged time and date.

3 - You failed to provide the documentation that's required to pick up the car.

4 - You failed to provide a credit card in the main driver's name with enough available funds on it.

In the event of any of the above, no refunds will be made to you.

The car hire company reserves the right to refuse a car if you fail to arrive on time with all necessary documentation and a credit card with enough available funds for the car's security deposit. In such a case, unless the car hire has been cancelled at least 48 hours in advance, you will not be entitled to a refund.
