The Sixt branch is located on the right-hand side of this street. By car:Coming from Winterthur drive towards Zürich City and keep left towards "Milchbucktunnel". After the tunnel turn right onto the street "Wasserwerkstrasse". Follow this street (which will change to "Hönggerstrasse") until you reach "Wipkingerplatz". Please drive around this square in order to get underneath the bridge "Hardbrücke", afterwards keep driving underneath this bridge until you reach the parking building called "Pfingstweid-Parkhaus". The Sixt branch is located closely behind. Travellers who come from Chur and Luzern are advised to circumnavigate the city and to use the directions above for Bern/Basel and Winterthur instead. By public transportation:The Sixt branch is one train stop away from Zürich main station. You go to train stop Hardbrücke. From here, go beneath the bridge for about 200 meters. The Sixt branch is located on the left-hand side. Using a taxi from the main station you can reach the branch in about 10 min. Rental car return:The cars have to be returned on the marked parking spaces inside the parking building "Pfingstweid-Parkhaus".

Travel Restrictions

Territorial restrictions

The vehicle selection can restrict travel to certain countries. For a description of these restrictions on admission, the countries are divided into three zones.

Zone 1: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Great Britian, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and Vatican

Zone 2: Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia

Zone 3: All countries which are not in zone 1 or 2.

Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Range Rover, Aston Martin, Maserati and Volkswagen cars as well as all Jeeps/off-roaders are only allowed to enter Zone 1 countries in addition to L*** group in Poland and the Czech Republic. Vehicles of all other brands may enter only in the zones 1 and 2.

Entry into any country in zone 3 is not permitted.

In case of offence against cross border and territorial restrictions all insurances lose their validity.

Cancellation and no-show policy

What is your cancellation policy for fully prepaid or part-paid bookings?

1 - If you cancel 48 hours prior to your pick-up, you will be refunded in full.

2 - If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance of pick-up, you'll receive a refund minus USD55. If your online payment is less than USD55, no refund will be made for your car rental booking.

3 - If your booking is made less than 48 hours before pick-up, the cancellation policy will automatically apply to your booking.

4 - All cancellations should be made on our online portal and not with the car rental agent. Should you agree to cancel directly with the car rental agent on arrival, you must also inform us of this change to your booking.

5 - Amending your booking or cancelling optional extras may not be possible less than 48 hours before pick-up.

If you purchased our Damage Refund Insurance product and have since decided to cancel your car rental booking, the Damage Refund Insurance will be cancelled automatically.

If you wish to amend or rearrange your booking, the Damage Refund Insurance will initially be cancelled. We will, however, automatically create a new policy for your new booking.

In both cases you will receive an email to confirm the cancellation at the email address you have provided during the online booking process.

Please be aware that if you cancel your insurance policy less than 24 hours before the start of your car rental agreement, no refund for insurance will be granted.

What is a no-show?

A 'no-show' occurs for the following reasons:

1 - You didn't inform us about your cancellation prior to your pick-up time.

2 - You failed to pick up the car at the arranged time and date.

3 - You failed to provide the documentation that's required to pick up the car.

4 - You failed to provide a credit card in the main driver's name with enough available funds on it.

In the event of any of the above, no refunds will be made to you.

The car rental company reserves the right to refuse a car if you fail to arrive on time with all necessary documentation and a credit card with enough available funds for the car's security deposit. In such a case, unless the car hire has been cancelled at least 48 hours in advance, you will not be entitled to a refund.
