Useful Information

Upon Arrival

NU Car Rentals service is provided in cooperation with Horspower Car Rental LLC. Upon arrival please call plus 1-888-656-7383 for a courtesy shuttle to our location. After you have collected your luggage follow the signs to the Off-Airport Shuttle area number 4 for pick up. Vehicles are held up to 2 hours after the arrival time on your reservation during our hours of operation.

Our vehicles must remain in the State of Florida. If you are not a Florida resident you will receive unlimited mileage. If you are a resident of Florida you will receive 50 free miles per day and each additional mile will have a charge of 0.75USD per mile. You must provide a round trip ticket if you are not a resident of Florida.

Insurance

Liability insurance is required when driving in Florida. Please bring proof of liability insurance valid in Florida - the Declarations page with name of company and the policy number - at time of rental or you will be required to purchase SLI. Your insurance must be issued by one of the following U.S. or Canadian companies only - State Farm, GEICO, Infinity, Progressive, Allstate, USAA and Liberty Mutual for the U.S. and Aviva Canada, State Farm Mutual and Wawanesa Mutual for Canada. Florida residents must use their own personal Third Party Liability -TPL- with a minimum coverage of 1 million USD.

SLI - Supplemental Liability Insurance protects you against claims for injury or damage you cause to a 3rd party and their property. SLI is 14.95USD plus tax per day unless you purchase our CDW option that includes Liability Coverage.

CDW- Collision Damage Waiver - is an option where Horspower Car Rental waives their right to collect on damage to the rental car CDW 1- is 29.95USD per day for all car sizes. It includes a zero deductible, Theft Protection - TP, Windshield Protection and Third Party Liability Protection. CDW 2- is 24.95USD per day for all car sizes. It includes Liability and Theft Protection but does not include Tires or Windshield Protection. It has a 500USD deductible. CDW 3- is 19.95USD per day and includes Liability Protection. The deductible is 1500.00USD. CDW 4 - is 14.95USD per day and includes Liability Protection with a 2500USD deductible. Glass and Tire Protection is available at 5.95USD per day. All options are taxable.

You MUST provide a Police Report in order for Insurance to cover any accident and notify us immediately.

Should you choose not to purchase our CDW you are responsible for any and all damage or loss to the rental vehicle. Should you choose to rely on Credit Card coverage or coverage purchased on a website a credit card deposit of 1000USD will be required at the time of rental and held up to 20 business days after the return of the vehicle with no damage. If damaged you will be responsible for any or all damage or replacement of the vehicle prior to your departure. You may seek reimbursement ater you return to your residence.

Special Equipment

Safety seats for childen through 1 year of age are available for 12.25USD per day, ages 2-4yrs are also 12.25USD per day and both are capped at 122.50USD per rental. Booster seats for 4-10 years are 9.25 per day with a cap of 92.50USD. Please request the size needed at time of rental, availability may be limited.

GPS Navigation Systems are 10.75USD per day - max of 107.50USD.

Prepaid Toll System is 13.95USD per day.
