Young Drivers Age: 21 to 25 Years Charge 22.2 EUR per Day Maximum 215.38 EUR (Excludes Tax)

Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to rent a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that, if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.

Travel Restrictions

Please note, all renters must obtain prior authorisation from the rental agent directly before any cross border travel commences. Please contact the car rental agency directly for more information.

You may drive a Vehicle in the following countries or territories is only allowed in mainland Spain, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, the territory of Gibraltar as well as in the European mainland of the following countries: Germany, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Holland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Sweden and Switzerland. Furthermore, in Italy, San Marino and Vatican, the use of Vehicles with the following codes ACRISS, EBMR, EDMR, CCMR, CDMR, IDMR, SDMR is only allowed, according to their equivalence in the General Rate in Force. In addition, the use of Vehicles with the following codes ACRISS, EBMR, EDMR, CCMR, CDMR, IDMR, SDMR is only allowed, according to their equivalence in the Current General Rate.

It is also forbidden to drive vehicles from Spain outside of the European continent, as to any island. Only the economy, compact, intermediate and standard car categories can enter Italy.

In the Balearic and Canary Islands, ONLY ONE ADDITIONAL DRIVER IS ALLOWED due to insurance restrictions.

The use of Off-road Vehicles is only permitted in Spain. Driving on unpaved roads is forbidden for all locations.

The use of commercial vehicles and cargo vans is only permitted in the Spanish mainland. In the event that You and/or the Driver wish to drive these commercial vehicles and cargo vans in the Balearic and Canary Islands, You must have the express authorisation of Europcar. You and/or the Driver undertake not to use the commercial vehicles and cargo vans outside Spanish territory. In the event of non-compliance Europcar may charge you additional fees in accordance with the amounts described in the Recommended Tariff Guid

Please be aware that You must comply with traffic regulations in the country where You drive the Vehicle.

Please note that is not possible to travel to Formentera from Spain or take the vehicles to Formentera independently regardless whether it is a one way or not reservation. In case you the customer attempts it, the fine from 1000 to 10000 € will be applied

The transportation of the Vehicle on board any type of boat, ship, train, lorry or aeroplane is not permitted.

Neither You nor any authorized Driver may drive the Vehicle outside the Territory. If You and / or the Driver drive the Vehicle outside the Territory, You and / or the Driver must obtain prior written consent from Europcar. In addition, you must ensure when you collect the Vehicle that it has the correct equipment to comply with the local traffic regulations of the country in which you and / or the Driver are going to drive.

Cancellation and no-show policy

What is your cancellation policy for fully prepaid or part-paid bookings?

1 - If you cancel 48 hours prior to your pick-up, you will be refunded in full.

2 - If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance of pick-up, you'll receive a refund minus EUR95. If your online payment is less than EUR95, no refund will be made for your car rental booking.

3 - If your booking is made less than 48 hours before pick-up, the cancellation policy will automatically apply to your booking.

4 - All cancellations should be made on our online portal and not with the car rental agent. Should you agree to cancel directly with the car rental agent on arrival, you must also inform us of this change to your booking.

5 - You can make any changes to your booking up to 48 hours before pick-up, with no additional charge, however, live pricing will apply. If you amend your booking less than 48 hours in advance of pick-up, the amount you currently paid will be carried over to your new booking minus a late amendment fee of EUR95.

6 - If you cancel or amend your booking less than 48 hours before pick-up and you have paid less than EUR50.00, you will not be charged more than you currently paid.

If you purchased our Damage Refund Insurance product and have since decided to cancel your car rental booking, the Damage Refund Insurance will be cancelled automatically.

If you wish to amend or rearrange your booking, the Damage Refund Insurance will initially be cancelled. We will, however, automatically create a new policy for your new booking.

In both cases you will receive an email to confirm the cancellation at the email address you have provided during the online booking process.

Please be aware that if you cancel your insurance policy less than 24 hours before the start of your car rental agreement, no refund for insurance will be granted.

What is a no-show?

A 'no-show' occurs for the following reasons:

1 - You didn't inform us about your cancellation prior to your pick-up time.

2 - You failed to pick up the car at the arranged time and date.

3 - You failed to provide the documentation that's required to pick up the car.

4 - You failed to provide a credit card in the main driver's name with enough available funds on it.

In the event of any of the above, no refunds will be made to you.

The car rental company reserves the right to refuse a car if you fail to arrive on time with all necessary documentation and a credit card with enough available funds for the car's security deposit. In such a case, unless the car hire has been cancelled at least 48 hours in advance, you will not be entitled to a refund.
