Policies

Once you have arrived at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, please follow the signs to the Shuttle Pick-up area located outside of baggage claim. An ACE Rent A Car shuttle will be by to pick you up in Zone 1.

Valid Drivers License, proof of insurance, and a credit or debit card in the Renters name must be presented at the time of rent.

International customers who do not have a DL in the Roman alphabet must provide an IDL.

Renter must provide their own liability insurance as a condition of rental.

The vehicle must return with same amount of fuel as when rented.

Non-prepaid customers will receive a grace period of 4-hours after their scheduled pick-up time to receive the vehicle. After the 4-hour grace period, non-prepaid reservations will be subject to availability. Please call the location directly for any flight delays or same-day changes in pick-up time.

Renters can travel with unlimited mileage to the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Any travel outside of these states without prior approval will be 0.35 USD per mile from departure.

We accept the following methods of payment: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, bank issued Debit Cards, and Credit Cards.

Cash only accepted as form of payment upon return.

Checks not accepted.

A refundable security deposit of 200 USD will be held at the time of rent in addition to the amount of the rental.

Drivers must be at least 21 years old. Underage Driver Fee of 10 USD applies to drivers between the ages of 21-24.

Underage drivers must have their own full coverage and have held their license for a minimum of one year.

Additional drivers must have a valid drivers license to present at the time of rent. Additional Driver Fee is 10 USD per day. Spouses are included free of charge.

Local renters are considered to be anyone with a North Carolina drivers license. Local renters have a security deposit of 300 USD in additional to the rental cost and are limited to 100 free miles per day. Any additional mileage will be 0.35 per mile.

Expert advice to make your journey go smoothly

Always ask for directions to the nearest gasoline station to the rental drop-off location. Keep your fuel sales slip as proof of refueling.

Take time to familiarize yourself with the vehicle controls before leaving the parking area

Fully inspect the vehicle for signs of damage and report them to the rental desk before leaving the parking area
